Review of "Epic April - Tour 1 - 10 Days" by Tornadic Expeditions

General review

2025 was year 2 for me with Tornadic Expeditions. Erik and his team (the first year was Ryan and Brian and the second year was the dynamic storm chasing duo of Adam and Chelsea) are top notch, genuine people. With weather, there’s only so much you can do to make things worthwhile when it’s not going your way. The TE team made sure to make every day, even those that weren’t “cooperating”, worthwhile. We visited unique places and learned some fascinating things while we waited for weather conditions to heat up. Erik and team were knowledgeable weather and non-weather, and made sure we followed along. Each evening ended almost ceremoniously as a team and we went through plans for the next day. Then comes the chase. Erik and team were with us every step, showing us radar, velocities, models, and everything that comes with it. We read the storms through and through as a group. And when it really heated up, the drivers made sure we were where we needed to be in a safe manner. Never compromising safety, but doing their best to keep up with the ever-changing weather. I can’t commend the drivers enough for the long miles and late nights. There are plenty of tours out there. But consider the options when it comes to true, personal experiences. How comfortable will you be? What will you learn? Where will you be when the weather isn’t “cooperating”? From my experience, TE checks all of those boxes on the positive side. I continue to book year after year with TE!

Vehicle review:

The Finger of God tour is restricted to 4 guests, a guide and a driver. It was a nice, spacious ride in a Ford Expedition with a hail cage over us to protect from the elements that the tour is designed to experience.

Tour guide review:

In 2025 I had the pleasure of getting a spot on TE’s more “exclusive” experience, which is called the Finger of God Tour. My guides were the dynamic professional storm chasing duo of Adam Lucio and Chelsea Burnett. What a treat! Adam is so strategic, almost methodical. His expertise and explanations cannot be beat. Chelsea adds a touch of fun and enthusiasm to chasing and the long drives. I can’t commend Chelsea enough for her driving skills in extreme conditions that this tour is designed to experience. Almost 4,600 miles in 8 days and Chelsea drove every single one of them. Adam and Chelsea got us (safely) right into the mix of things when the conditions were available.
