JoAnna has been chasing storms since 2007. She has acted as co-leader on several storm chase tours, and has successfully navigated the storm chase crew around dangerous storms. She has a keen eye for subtle details in storm structure and maps, and is particularly skilled at avoiding large hail. On slow weather days or travel days, she finds fun tourist attractions to visit. She holds a BS in Physics, including study in atmospheric remote sensing and planetary science.
