Storm chasing season 2021 is (also) cancelled – and you will believe the reason why!

2021 no storm chasing

There is no clickbait and no surprise here. Covid-19 is putting its ugly wet blanket over this season for me and (almost) all fellow storm chasing europeans and most other non-americans. The borders are still closed and even if they would open up I would assume it would only be for vaccinated people. In Sweden, the vaccinations for my age group won’t likely be until the end of the summer so the chances of me chasing this season are about the chances of a Pilger twin EF-4 in L.A..

I kind of thought and I hoped I would have a decent chance to chase late in the summer of 2020 but then the 2nd wave, and the 3rd wave etc came and I really haven’t had my hopes up at all since. It sucks, but I am nowhere as devastated as I was last season. I would have absolutely LOVED to go this season, to be honest just to have the vacation and something cool to look forward to but what can you do.

So, I cancelled my pre-booked trip with Extreme Tornado Tours but I hope to be able to go next year instead. I mean, it HAS to be back to normal then, right?

As we say in Sweden: “Nästa Ã¥r, dÃ¥ jävlar!”
