I travelled from Australia to go on a stormchasing tour so researched before I left. Chose Weathergods because they responded promptly to all of my questions and had lots of experience with stormchasing, loving what they do. I went on the second tour 2010 and was not disappointed. Mark's knowledge and experience put us upfront chasing from day 1 and we saw funnels,unreal storms,tornadoes.supercells and land spouts. Mark and Bruce looked after us perfectly,they were so passionate, we couldn't have asked for a better tour. Would I go again...in a heartbeat!
I toured with Weather Gods and Mark Lingl in May of 2008 and it was truly the trip of a lifetime. Mark’s expertise in forecasting where storms will initiate and which storms would provide the best chance of becoming severe and/or tornadic was spot-on. Because of his willingness to share his expansive knowledge of meteorology, the trip was not only exciting but very educational. Mark always put us in the right spot at the right time, providing us the opportunity to see tornadoes safely but still close enough to really be a part of the action. I highly recommend Mark’s Weather Gods Tornado Chase tours for anyone who wants to truly experience the best in tornado chasing!
I have waited my whole life to chase out in the plains since I was a little kid. I finally got the chance to do so in 2008. There wasn't a cloud in sight for the first 4 days. Mark toured us around recently devastated Picher, OK & Greensburg, KS. When the storms finally fired up, Mark explained to us, in detail, not only where to find tornadoes, but also the evolutionary stages of a storm. Mark also taught us how to forecast. We went from no clouds, to a storm producing funnel clouds, to an EF1 tornado, and finally, to a 7 minute long video of an EF4 tornado. Since then, I have become a lifer with Mark & WeatherGods, Inc.
I went with Mark at Weathergods in 2010 on his first tour. We saw a few funnels and one small tornado. Mark had us on great storms all week. He couldn't have done anything else short of create a tornado himself. Had a great time in our downtime as well. We learned a great deal of information about how storms and tornados are created. I definitely hope to chase with Mark again and would highly recommend him to anyone.
