Day 12 – Rest day in Tulsa

Although Colorado looked really good today, my choice was already made yesterday and I neither could nor wanted to get out on the roads again just yet. I had a lot of catching up to do in terms of work and rest and it felt really good to wake up and not having to drive somewhere for the first time in 12 days!

There literally has only been one or two real down days since I started chasing two weeks ago! Those days has not even been real down days with nothing to chase but rather just having target areas that were out of range from the location or situation I have been in.

Compared to last years tour where we only had two chase days out of six it is a great improvement. I may be a little starved on tornadoes, nice storm structure and action but I have seen plenty of funnel clouds and some other cool storm related features this far.
